The Tubedreamer mk.2 builds on the classic overdrive formula with a warm, articulate voice and a refined midrange character that stays clear and musical in a mix. Its improved low-gain response gives players greater control in the most usable part of the gain sweep, making it easier to dial in everything from subtle edge-of-breakup tones to rich, singing drive. At the heart of the pedal is the legendary JRC4558D chip, delivering the familiar feel and tonal character associated with highly regarded vintage overdrives.

The mk.2 also features a 3-diode asymmetrical clipping circuit designed to enhance touch sensitivity and dynamic response. Pick attack, fretting nuances, and volume adjustments translate naturally, giving the pedal an expressive, amp-like feel under the fingers. A newly added no-diode clipping mode removes traditional diode clipping entirely, opening up the sound with increased headroom, added clarity, and a more natural overdriven response.

For live performance versatility, the Tubedreamer mk.2 now includes a dedicated footswitch that activates the pedal’s high-gain stage on demand. Dual internal trimmers allow independent output level adjustment for each clipping mode within the high-gain circuit, making it easy to balance levels or set up a boosted lead sound. A selectable startup mode also gives players the option of having the pedal engage automatically or remain bypassed when powered on.
