EVH 5150 Iconic Series 40W 1x12 Combo - Black

The EVH 5150 Iconic Series 40-Watt 1x12 Combo brings the unmistakable power and character of EVH tube amplification to a more accessible format. Evolving from the legendary 5150III platform, this all-tube combo delivers everything from articulate cleans to the aggressive, saturated gain that defined Eddie Van Halen's groundbreaking sound. Designed by renowned amplifier engineer James Brown, the Iconic combines a pair of 6L6 power tubes with a sophisticated multi-stage hybrid preamp featuring two ECC83 tubes, delivering exceptional punch, clarity, and dynamic response.

Two independent channels provide an impressive range of tones, with additional voicing options on each channel for even greater versatility. The Green channel's Overdrive button takes you from clean tones into more pronounced gain, while the Red channel's Burn button adds additional crunch and saturation for powerful rhythm sounds and searing leads. Each channel features dedicated gain and volume controls for easy level matching, while shared Low, Mid, and High EQ controls, Presence, Resonance, and Reverb let you fine-tune the amp for any playing environment. A built-in noise gate on Channel 2 keeps high-gain tones tight and controlled, while the footswitchable Boost adds 10dB of additional volume when you need your solos to cut through the mix.

The 1x12 combo is loaded with a custom EVH-voiced Celestion speaker and features a specially designed cabinet with internal plywood baffling for tight, focused low end. A 1/4-power switch makes it possible to push the tubes at more manageable volume levels, while the effects loop, dual parallel speaker outputs, and two-button footswitch add practical flexibility for live and studio use. For recording or direct performance, the speaker-emulated DI XLR with power amp mute provides an accurate representation of the amp's all-tube character straight into a recording interface or PA. Finished in distinctive EVH styling with textured vinyl, a black grille, brushed aluminum control panel, and classic chicken-head knobs, the 5150 Iconic is a serious performance amp with the attitude and versatility to match its legendary lineage.
