Triptychon is a unique sonic platform built around three distinct tone elements. Each section stands on its own, but when combined, they form a complete and expressive electric guitar voice centered on fuzz, harmonic shaping, and amplifier-style drive.

On classic recordings, these elements were never used in isolation. Fuzzes, octave effects, and treble boosters were often pushed into already driven amplifiers, creating the compression, sustain, and rich harmonic character that define vintage tone.

Modern setups tend to rely on clean amps with pedals providing most of the gain, which changes how these elements interact. Triptychon is designed to restore that original relationship, letting players achieve authentic, vintage-inspired tones within today’s rigs.

Fuzz: The Core Voice (center panel)

At the heart of Triptychon lies an all analog 4-voice fuzz engine inspired by some of the most iconic circuits in guitar history:

  • ff: inspired by Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face

  • vtb:  inspired by Vox Tone Bender

  • 3/2: inspired by Sola Sound Tone Bender Mk1.5

  • 2: inspired by Sola Sound Tone Bender MkII

From dynamic and responsive to saturated and aggressive, each voice retains its own identity, allowing you to explore the full spectrum of classic fuzz behavior.

Boost / Upper Octave Fuzz: Harmonic Expansion (right panel)

The right panel expands the harmonic range with a dual-voice architecture for each mode.

In boost mode, it delivers two distinct treble booster voices, from classic cutting presence to a fuller, mid-focused response.

In octave mode, it becomes an upper octave fuzz, offering two distinct voices ranging from articulate and defined to saturated and harmonically rich overtones.

Drive: The Amplifier Foundation (left panel)

The left panel completes the system by recreating the feel of a pushed amplifier.

Rather than acting as a typical overdrive, it provides the compression, response, and harmonic environment where fuzzes and boosters truly come alive. It can subtly enhance sustain and clarity or be pushed further to shape the overall gain structure, just like a real amp.
