Bold, fiery, and built to perform, the Custom Shop C14ce Catch Event #34 “Hot Rod” Grand Auditorium is a standout tribute to Taylor’s 2003 Hot Rod Guitar, now reimagined with modern tone and playability upgrades. Its bearclaw Sitka spruce top and figured Big Leaf maple back and sides offer bright, articulate tone with rich dynamics, enhanced by V-Class bracing for improved sustain and clarity. The iconic red and yellow flame motif returns, brought to life with vivid satinwood and bloodwood inlays across the ebony fretboard and rosette.
A sleek Florentine cutaway provides easy upper-fret access, while the hard rock maple neck with a comfortable standard carve makes for effortless playability. Finished in a high-gloss black and equipped with ES2 electronics, satin black tuners, and a deluxe hardshell case, this custom creation is equal parts showstopper and sonic powerhouse.
