This Suhr Modern has been spec'd with hand selected piece of burled waterfall maple which is accentuated perfectly by the sleek transparent finish.  The organic movement of the burl creates a sense of depth and motion, giving the instrument a truly one of a kind presence.  Waterfall burl is created by irregular growth in the tree resulting in swirling, cascading grain patterns that resemble flowing water.  It is prized for its dramatic, three dimensional appearance, making each top completely unique and visually striking.  This particular top has ultra defined figuring.
