When we saw this piece of wood at the Suhr factory while selecting tops, we knew this had to go on a killer spec. The absolutely gorgeous one-piece burl maple has notes of both flame and quilt making it the best of all worlds. The color choice was obvious, as the Natural Burst doesn't hide any of the character but tones the wood just enough to enrich the aesthetic.

The mahogany neck provides stability and strength. A satin finish keeps it comfortable and feeling broken‑in, while the Ziricote fingerboard provides a luxurious feel under the fingers. Jumbo stainless frets give it a clean attack and make bends feel effortless.  Burl maple on top brings a strong custom look, further accentuated by the depth of the top carve. The two‑post Suhr bridge feels solid and stays out of the way when you’re digging in.

The Woodbuckers (Andy Wood Signature) provide high clarity without sounding sterile or overly compressed. It handles very articulate picking and complex chords while still having enough authority for heavier gain. The result is a fairly muscular voice without being voiced like a traditional high-output metal pickup. The V63+ is Suhr's hotter, more powerful interpretation of its vintage V63 Strat-style single coil pickup. The perfect compliment to put in the middle between two Woodbuckers.
