The PRS Tekton Floyd is engineered for players who push their technique to the limit and demand confidence from their instrument at full speed. Combining the modern performance platform of the Tekton family with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo, this model is designed for aggressive playing styles, expressive pitch manipulation, and demanding technical work. Its lightweight alder body, shallow violin carve, and sculpted contours provide a comfortable, performance-oriented foundation that supports extended playing sessions without compromising access to the upper frets.

The Tekton Floyd features a 25.5” scale length, a thin Modern “D” maple neck, a 16” fretboard radius, and 24 stainless steel frets for a fast, precise playing experience. An ebony fingerboard provides a smooth playing surface, while offset dot inlays and Luminlay side dots offer clear visual reference points across the neck. The combination of a carefully sculpted neck heel and ergonomic body design makes navigating the full fretboard feel natural, whether executing intricate rhythm parts or demanding lead passages.

Purpose-built PRS Stylus pickups deliver the clarity, aggression, and dynamic response required for modern high-gain playing. Their balanced output helps preserve articulation and note separation under heavy distortion, while remaining responsive through traditional tube amplifiers and digital modeling rigs. Designed to work effectively in both full humbucking and coil-split configurations, the pickups offer a versatile tonal palette for everything from tight, precise rhythms to expressive melodic lines. A three-way blade switch, master volume, and push/pull tone control provide direct access to the available sounds.

A Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo, designed with a 16” radius, gives the Tekton Floyd the expressive range demanded by players who rely on dive bombs, flutter effects, wide vibrato, and other aggressive tremolo techniques. PRS Phase III non-locking tuners round out the hardware configuration, while the overall design prioritizes the speed, stability, and reliability expected of a modern performance guitar.
