New Release
The PRS Tekton is built for players who demand precision, consistency, and a direct connection to their instrument. Introducing an entirely new platform for modern performance, the Tekton combines refined ergonomics with contemporary specifications and purpose-built electronics. Its lightweight mahogany body features a figured mango top, a shallow violin carve, and sculpted contours that provide comfortable playing positions and effortless access to the upper frets.
Designed for speed and comfort, the Tekton features a 25.5” scale length, a thin Modern “D” maple neck, a 16” fretboard radius, and 24 stainless steel frets. The ebony fingerboard provides a smooth, responsive playing surface, while offset dot inlays and Luminlay side dots help players maintain their bearings onstage and in low-light environments. PRS Phase III locking tuners and a string-through PRS Hardtail bridge complete a platform focused on stability, resonance, and consistent performance.
At the heart of the Tekton are PRS Stylus pickups, developed specifically for this new family of guitars. Their aggressive yet articulate voice preserves note definition under gain while offering the dynamic response needed for clean passages and expressive playing. Designed to perform through both traditional tube amplifiers and modern digital rigs, the Stylus pickups deliver usable tones in every position, whether in full humbucking mode or coil-split operation. A three-way blade switch, master volume, and push/pull tone control provide straightforward access to a versatile range of sounds.
Named after the ancient Greek word for artisan or builder, the Tekton represents PRS’s commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship in service of the modern player. From intricate rhythmic passages to fluid lead work, its combination of a fast-playing neck, stable hardtail bridge, and versatile electronics makes it a compelling choice for guitarists who prioritize precision, clarity, and reliability in the studio, onstage, and beyond.
