The PRS SE Silver Sky builds on the legacy of the original Silver Sky, bringing its signature tone, comfort, and aesthetic into an accessible, stage-ready form. Designed in collaboration with John Mayer and introduced in 2018, this model delivers punchy single-coil sound and smooth playability across a range of distinctive finishes, including the beautiful Derby Red. Whether you're chasing expressive leads or warm rhythm tones, the SE Silver Sky balances classic feel with modern reliability.
Constructed with a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fretboard adorned with PRS bird inlays, it stays true to the original 635JM vision. The 22-fret neck uses a 25.5-inch scale length and an 8.5-inch radius for a familiar hand feel that suits a wide range of styles. Three 635JM “S” single-coils offer articulate, expressive tone, brought to life by a steel two-point tremolo, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners. New lampshade knobs and a five-way flat-tip switch enhance both aesthetics and control. Additional touches include the signature inverted headstock and PRS double-acting truss rod, easily accessed from the front.
