The inclusion of a racing stripe was an obvious choice when designing this guitar.  Chrome hardware and Powers’ “Full Faraday” machine-turned aluminum covered pickups pay homage to the twin-turbocharged mid-mounted V8 engine.  The white pickguard is a subtle callout to the “6” hood badge.  From the Circuit to the Stage.

The one‑piece mahogany neck with its velvet finish feels broken‑in from day one, and the asymmetrical radius paired with the Powers Electric Carve profile makes the entire neck feel natural and predictable under the hand. Honduran rosewood on both the fingerboard and peghead veneer adds warmth and a classic visual continuity, while jumbo frets and the continuous‑contour Delrin nut keep bends smooth and intonation stable.

The FF42 Full Faraday pickups bring out the A‑Type’s warmest, most hi‑fidelity voice; rounded lows, articulate mids, and a top end that stays sweet even when pushed. They reward touch and dynamics, making clean tones shimmer and driven tones stay defined. Paired with the CamTail vibrato system, the guitar keeps chords and bends locked together with impressive tuning stability. It’s an expressive, musical build that feels as refined as it looks.
