The Miris J is Novo's semi-hollow offering that blends vintage inspiration with modern features and build quality. If you’re looking for something special, with character, excellent hardware, and unique tone, this one is for you!

The Inca Burst paint job is a perfect complement to the aesthetic.  The grain of the swamp ash shines through beautifully. The burst transition tightly hugs the pick guard, hardware, and bound f-hole creating a frame that draws your attention to all of the premium appointments.  

We outfitted this Miris J with Lindy Fralin's take on the iconic Firebird Pickups.  Although resembling mini-humbuckers, Firebird pickups are designed differently, with each coil wound around a bar magnet (rather than having poles above a shared bar magnet). One coil has a north-up orientation, the other south-up, giving hum-canceling behavior but a more snappy midrange and punch, with less of the thick “bloom” of full humbuckers.  These pickups have a lower output, and thus more articulation.

This neck is chunky, yet still extremely comfortable and fast.  The flaming of the maple has some great action in the light and supports the Inca Burst of the body wonderfully.  Binding on the neck makes this guitar feel very luxurious.  A black painted headstock with Novo's signature logo and tasteful aging balances the design.

If you know Novo, you know that their selective production and artful design, by Dennis Fano, has led them to create some of the most sought after modern guitars in the world.  What we have here is an exemplary specimen that highlights all of Novo's signature elements: Color, Aging, Playability, and Uniqueness
