This 2024 Gibson Les Paul Standard ’60s is a particularly striking take on one of Gibson’s most iconic designs, pairing a sleek Ebony top with a contrasting natural back for a look that is both understated and distinctive. The dark, elegant finish gives the guitar a refined, almost custom-shop feel, while the natural mahogany back adds warmth and visual depth. It’s a classic Les Paul silhouette with just enough of a twist to stand apart from the usual finishes.

The ’60s Standard is built around the specifications that made the era’s Les Pauls so legendary. A solid mahogany body with a carved maple top delivers the familiar combination of sustain, punch, and harmonic richness, while the SlimTaper mahogany neck offers the faster, more streamlined feel associated with the early 1960s. A bound rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, and ABR-1-style bridge complete the vintage-inspired aesthetic.

Sonically, the guitar is equally versatile, with Gibson BurstBucker humbuckers delivering the articulate, open character expected from a ’60s-style Les Paul. They offer plenty of clarity and bite with the volume rolled up, while responding beautifully to overdrive and distortion. 

This guitar is in very good condition.  There are finish swirls and scratches on the top but all are superficial and indicative of normal play wear over two years of life.  The original pickguard is missing but easily attainable.  Overall, a great value.
