This 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue is Epiphone’s take on one of the most chased guitars on the planet. It’s built in partnership with Gibson Custom, and you can feel that in the way it looks, rings, and responds. The mahogany body and carved maple cap are topped with a AAA flame veneer that actually moves under the light; Not the flat, printed stuff you see on cheaper tops. The Vintage Gloss finish keeps everything looking like a well‑kept late‑fifties Burst without pushing it into heavy aging. 

The neck is where this one really separates itself. It’s a one‑piece mahogany neck with a long tenon, so the whole guitar feels connected and alive. The profile is the 1959 Rounded Medium C. A little meatier than the ’60 SlimTaper, and honestly the one most players end up preferring once they try it. The rosewood board is bound, the trapezoids are real mother‑of‑pearl, and even the side dots are placed like the originals. 

Electronics are straight from Gibson Custom: a matched set of USA Custombuckers with Alnico 3 magnets, wired to CTS pots and Bumblebee paper‑in‑oil caps. The Switchcraft toggle and jack round out the harness. It’s warm, clear, and open like your classic Les Paul voice, but without the mud or harshness you get from cheaper pickups. 

Hardware stays true to the era: ABR‑1, aluminum stop bar, nickel plating, and Epiphone Deluxe single‑ring keystone tuners. The whole thing ships in a brown Lifton‑style case with pink interior and the Inspired by Gibson Custom graphics.
