Inspired by Dingwall's Custom Shop Super P, their "Ready-to-Play" SP1 blends vintage inspiration with modern innovation, delivering a bass that feels familiar but performs at a much higher level. Based on a classic P-style design, the SP1 incorporates Dingwall’s multi-scale construction to provide exceptional clarity, balance, and consistency across the entire fretboard.

At the core of the SP1 is its fanned-fret system, which maintains a tight and focused low end while preserving smooth, articulate highs. The result is a piano-like response where every note remains clear and defined, even under aggressive playing. The custom Dingwall pickup captures the punch and authority of a traditional split-coil, with added depth, note separation, and dynamic range.  The low B string is kept taught and responsive.

The body is ergonomically shaped for comfort, and the extended scale length improves string tension and tuning stability. This makes the SP1 especially well suited for players who use lower tunings or demand a more controlled and consistent feel.
