One year ago, we opened the doors to Round Hill Music Co. with a vision of creating something different for the music community in Greenwich. A place where boutique guitars, hi-fi audio, vinyl culture, live events, and music lovers of all kinds could come together under one roof. This past week, we had the chance to celebrate that milestone with an incredible series of events, and we just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported us during our first year.
We kicked off the celebration with a special VIP private event on Wednesday night featuring legendary guitarist Mike Stern and his band performing live in-store. Guests enjoyed complimentary beer and wine, incredible pizza from Griggs Street Pizza Truck, and an intimate night of live music surrounded by the RHMC community. The celebration continued through the weekend with a lineup of public events, giveaways, and special promotions. Thursday featured free gifts with purchase, including exclusive RHMC 1 Year anniversary items and giveaways from some of the amazing brands we proudly carry in the shop.
On Friday, we partnered with The Capitol Theatre for a series of concert ticket giveaways featuring upcoming shows from Gary Clark Jr., The Fab Faux, Hot Tuna, and Jerry's Middle Finger.
Saturday brought our “Tech Day” event, where players stopped by all day for complimentary string changes, hang time with the team, and a chance to check out new arrivals throughout the store.
We wrapped things up on Sunday with Vinyl Day featuring DJ Shane Kirsch spinning records live in-store from 12–2 PM alongside one-day-only vinyl deals and a relaxed afternoon celebrating record culture and music discovery.
The energy and support throughout the week reminded us exactly why we opened Round Hill Music Co. in the first place. Whether you’ve attended an event, bought your first guitar, picked up records on a Sunday afternoon, or simply stopped in to hang out and talk music... thank you for being part of our first year.
We have even more exciting events, performances, clinics, collaborations, and community experiences planned for later this summer and beyond. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of the Greenwich community, and we can’t wait to keep building something special together.
