RHMC Martin Factory Trip

Yesterday, the Round Hill Music Co. team spent the day in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, visiting the legendary Martin Guitar Factory. It was a truly special experience filled with craftsmanship, creativity, and a deep appreciation for musical history.

Choosing Our Own Wood and Custom Specs

One of the highlights of the day was getting to hand-select our own tonewoods and design custom guitars that will arrive at our shop in 2026. Each piece of wood carried its own story in the grain, and it’s exciting to imagine how these choices will soon become instruments ready to be played and loved.

Touring the Factory

We were treated to a VIP backstage tour of the Martin factory, where we witnessed the incredible craftsmanship that goes into building each guitar from start to finish.

Every workstation told its own story: skilled artisans carving, sanding, and shaping with a level of precision and care that can only come from decades of experience and love for the craft. It was inspiring to see the balance between tradition and innovation that defines Martin’s approach.

Exploring the Martin Museum

Our visit ended at the Martin Museum, where we stepped into the rich history of one of the most iconic names in music. We had the rare chance to play some extraordinary historic instruments, including the earliest known Martin guitar from 1834, the stunning 3-millionth Martin, and several others that represent the evolution of guitar making over nearly two centuries.

Holding these instruments was like holding pieces of music history, each one a connection to generations of players and songs.

It was an unforgettable day filled with artistry, inspiration, and a deeper appreciation for the craft that connects us all through music.

Stay tuned for pre-orders of our custom Martin acoustic guitars coming in 2026!
