PRS Meets Defender: Introducing the Silver Sky Defender Color Collection
Two icons, eight colors, and one seriously cool collaboration.
PRS Guitars has teamed up with Defender and John Mayer for the new Silver Sky Defender Color Collection, bringing some of Defender’s most recognizable heritage and contemporary colors to both the USA-made Silver Sky and SE Silver Sky.
The idea began with Mayer’s own Arles Blue Defender, combining his love of guitars, automobiles, and distinctive color into a collection that feels right at home on the Silver Sky.
The USA-made Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition comes in four heritage finishes: Arles Blue, Sandglow Yellow, Willow Green, and Portofino Red. Only 500 of each color will be made worldwide, with matching painted headstocks, exclusive Defender neck plates, and custom ATA molded cases.
The SE Silver Sky Defender Limited Edition takes inspiration from the modern Defender palette with Petra Copper, Sedona Red, Carpathian Grey, and Woolstone Green. Each features a black pickguard and controls, a first for the Silver Sky, along with an exclusive neck plate and PRS/Defender gig bag.
Underneath the new colors are the familiar sound, feel, and playability that have made the Silver Sky one of PRS's most recognizable models.
