Opening Day at Round Hill Music Co.
Saturday, May 17th was a day we won’t forget.
After months of planning, building, rearranging, tweaking, tuning, and doing way too many things at once, Round Hill Music Co. officially opened its doors. And to everyone who came out and packed the place — thank you. You helped turn our first day into something special.
We had guitars being played, records being flipped through, turntables spinning, and a lot of great conversations happening across the store. It was exactly the kind of energy we built this place for.
A Look Back at How We Got Here
Before the walls were lined with guitars and the record bins were full, this was just an empty space. Four walls, open ceiling, and a ton of possibility.
We knew we wanted to build something different — not just a retail shop, but a space that feels lived-in, real, and welcoming. A place where musicians and music lovers of all kinds could show up and feel like they belonged.
Over the past several months, we put in a lot of late nights. We designed every corner of the store, picked every guitar, crate, and book by hand, and slowly turned a raw space into a spot that feels like home. It was a lot — but we wouldn't have it any other way.
This Store is Built for Music Lover's
We’re about more than just gear. Sure, we’ve got high-end guitars, vinyl, turntables, pedals, amps, and music lifestyle goods. But what we really care about is building a space for connection — for discovery, for hanging out, for digging through records you didn’t know you needed until you saw the cover art.
We wanted the shop to feel less like a transaction and more like a conversation.
And based on opening day, it seems like that idea resonated. People didn’t just shop — they played, explored, asked questions, swapped stories, sat down on the couch, and stayed a while. That’s exactly what we hoped for.
Thanks for Being a Part of Day One
If you made it out — thank you. If you’re planning to come by soon — we can’t wait to meet you.
We’re officially open, and there’s a lot more to come. Events, listening nights, community hangs, maybe even some in-store sessions down the line.
For now, we’re just grateful. It took a lot to get here, and we’re proud of what we’ve built. But what really makes it all worth it is seeing people in the space, doing what they love — surrounded by music.
See you soon,
– The Round Hill Music Co. team
