The Fender Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child Stratocaster NOS in Black is a faithful tribute to the sonic legend's iconic upside-down guitar setup. Based on a '66 Stratocaster, this instrument flips the script with a reverse headstock and reverse-mounted hand-wound '69 pickups, delivering the bold tone and expressive feel Hendrix was known for. Finished in a sleek NOS lacquer with chrome/nickel hardware, it mirrors a Strat that’s been preserved since the late ’60s.
Built from alder body wood and a plain-grain maple neck, this Strat features a 9.5" fretboard radius, 6106 narrow tall frets, and a comfortable ’66 “Oval C” neck profile for effortless bends and smooth playability. A custom “Voodoo Child” neck plate, vintage-style tremolo, and period correct appointments like a parchment pickguard and Micarta dot inlays round out this striking instrument crafted to channel the spirit of Jimi’s legendary tone and presence.
